Brattle Books

Paperback writer, paperback writer.
Dear Sir or Madam, will you read my book?

It took me years to write, will you take a look?
Paperback writer, paperback writer.

{The Beatles -- Paperback Writer}

I finally got to the Brattle Book Shop downtown. It's one of the oldest bookshops in America and is tucked along a narrow street off the Boston Common.

Brattle Books is most known locally for the stacks of books kept in the lot beside the store. Cabinets line the brick walls and weather permitting carts of books fill the lot.

So much character. So much history. So many books!

I've got a weakness for bookstores - this looks like a great place to browse.
